Perelandra Vocab is Nuts!
H'llo all. Sorry for the delay. It's been a while since I actually thought about blogging. Has anyone ever read Perelandra by C.S. Lewis? Well, that's the book that Mom was referring to in her comment. I think it has to be one of the few books that he wrote, that I don't like. He just spends so much TIME on little details like, for instance, what the fruit tastes like(even though it might taste amazing, I still find kinda' annoying how much time he spent on that one fruit), what the sky looks like, and other things like that. Now some of you might actually like that kind of thing, but I find rather more than just annoying, sometimes I get the idea that Lewis was intentionally carrying on. I think I might be getting more than a little paranoid. Well, anywho, did y'all ever notice that the guy's name was Ransom? Is that supposed to refer to something? You also notice that there is a lot of..um.... how shall I say it? referring back to something, somethings? I 'm also currently going through basically a study guide to Perelandra. It involves a whole lot of vocab, which could be liked better by some peoples(that would be me, and possibly other peoples?). I'm pretty sure that F.B. has no idea what I'm talking about, right? Not that I have something against vocab, it's just that they use the oddest words. Maybe that's why they use vocab, so that I'll maybe learn something. Am I learning something? Possibly, though I'm pretty sure that it's nothing to do with learning vocab words.
I've come up with a new name for my blog, I don't know if anyone noticed it though. I kinda' like it though. Well I'll just leave y'all to ponder the meaning of my new title, and post some Garfield.
You know, I just came up with a much easier way of doing it, I'll just put the link on the sidebar! Why didn't I think of that before? Anyway, I shall ask your opinion of things like that later, and get back to something interesting. "Hey Red! Why something interesting? Why not something fun?!". Hmmmmm... that's an idea. I'll think about that for a while, and get back to thinking about it tomorrow, or sometime like that. See y'all.
P.S. Don't expect a whole lot of posts just to show up out of nowhere. It takes time to think about what to right!

For some reason my picture didn't work out yesterday, so, I'm going to try again, this time with my baby quilt that I mostly finished yesterday.

PRETTY QUILT
IT WORKED!! Now let's see if it will stay on my post. It worked on my post too, so now you have a very nice picture of my second quilt. Noooww, I have to work on my Chinese quilt. Which I plan on finishing by May, I think.
Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes coming up.

That's interesting. I got a Webkinz for Annalee's B-day(which, for all of you who didn't know, was yesterday)and she's naming, excuse me, DUBBING it Bandy Banda Fearing. She also says that if you've been naughty in the last thirty seconds, you won't be able to hear Bandy talking. Have we come upon another, lesser Santa? In the being able to tell naughty and nice since of course, I don't think that Bandy would be able to carry all those presents. Bandy would probably be mistaken for one of the presents and be carried off(no offense Bandy)! Oh, yeah, and Bandy's superhero name is..... BANDA THE PANDA! Dun dun dun dun dun dun duuuuunnnn! And Mary and I also gave Annalee a drawing kit. Has Annalee used it yet? I don't know. HEY ANNALEE! HAVE YOU USED IT YET?!! That was a no. Oh well. She'll use it eventually.
That's all folks. TTFN, ta ta for now!

POOR DOGGY
Yello'. What did you expect? Did you want me to post sooner or something? (I was wondering how long it would take for mom to tell me to get a move on) I have, as of yesterday, finished my quilt top. All that's left now is to put the borders and the backing on, and to quilt it. And I get to do all that as soon as I finish school. Well, I have to at least get the borders on. I also have soccer and Quilt Guild meeting tonight, so I have to finish a whole lot of stuff that I would otherwise have finished by now. Example, soccer practice. I have decided that this will be my last season of playing soccer, and boy, am I ever happy about it! I plan to continue reffing, though. Mostly because were' almost always short a couple reffs. No, that is not an actual word. Anyhow, this computer is going amazingly slow, so every couple of seconds I write a few words and they take several more seconds to appear, kinda' annoying is that.

How 'bout I try to put a picture on here. Trying. And it absolutely won't let me put it where I want it.
POOR DOGGY
Now THAT'S more like it! I finally figured it out. It's actually easier than I thought. By the way, do you like my doggy? Seems kinda' familiar, huh. Petr has put it on his blog before, along with several other rather amusing pictures and videos. I like the font color I chose though, it matches the sweater. Or it almost does, not quite though. Close enough. Now that I've posted an amusing picture(and it almost took half an hour, at least it felt like half an hour)I will continue with life as I know it, which means mostly school. TTFN, ta ta for now!

P.S. I figured out how to put all of those foreign words on one site, so I don't have to be forever adding them to the side bar.

Who Knew that "Foil" Had so Many Meanings?
Mom let me off of regular school today, I only have to do my L.A. test. I am so lucky, aren't I. I get also get to work on my quilts. My baby quilt has to be finished by next Monday(for those that didn't know, I'm in the Nacogdoches Quilt Guild), and my other full sized quilt has to be finished by April, so I've got lots of time. Oh, yeah, and I have to do blogging also. I'm doing it!
What do you all think of my solution to the North-South problem? It might not be very practical, but hey! I fixed the problem, didn't I? On to other problems. Does anyone know the exact definition of a "foil"? No, I'm not talking about that weird metal called aluminum foil(did anyone other that me know that aluminum foil is wierd?). I'm talking about foils in the characteristic sense. As in, protagonist, antagonist, and foil. I come up with the weirdest questions, don't you think? Here is the exact definition from the Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary. (Now I have to find it)They actually don't have the definition that I'm looking for, so onto the encyclopedias! That's very strange, the encyclopedia doesn't have it either. Where to look next. I'll search it on Google. "A foil is a secondary character who contrasts with a major character and, in so doing, highlights various facets of the main character's personality." That is an exact quote from the Wikipedia thing. I don't think that I'll put the rest of it on here, seeing as it goes on for about one page. They also put in things like, several examples, first of just random people from random books, and then examples from things like, classic literature, which seems to be mostly from Shakespeare. Then from pop culture(why they call it that I have no idea, I guess tha that would be another thing to ponder), things like Star Wars, and Harry Potter. Alright, enough about foils, though I could tell you about the other kinds of foils. Never mind, that would just take up more space.
My test on L.A. includes writing an essay on a short story called "Luck of Roaring Camp". Maybe I'll just make a whole other blog just to put my essays on, that would be nice, I'll think about it. Well, I'll just be getting back to essaying, is that a word? I suppose it is, seeing that it isn't under lined. I'll get back to things tomorrow. TTFN, ta ta for now! Oh yeah, I forgot about comics, here they are.

Make Sure Your Brain Doesn't Explode
On request, I'm going to try to find something interesting to talk about, other than philosophy. Red Barons don't seem to think much of it, though I've no idea about blue or green barons:)
So, here goes. I think most everyone has heard of the east-west issue, going both ways at once I mean. But has anyone ever heard of the South-North issue? While y'all think about that, I'll try and figure out an answer to it. Ah ha! Have you ever tried hanging of the bottom of a plane while taking off? Now most of you probably haven't(normally Red Barons are the only people with enough insanity to even think of doing something like that), but if you time it just right, I bet you could swing down just as the plane is going up, therefore, you would end up going South and North at the same time. Of course, an easier and safer way to do that would be to take JCPenny's idea and just turn ninety degrees to the left or right.
So now that I have discussed a kinda' interesting view of something, I can get back to daily life, please? Alright, I'll tell you about everything but school. How about, GLOBAL WARMING! Aughhhhhh! Everyone run! The planets about to blow up! Now how you would be able to run when the planet blows up, I don't know, go ask one of those people out there who actually thinks about that kind of stuff. Is that enough to think about for one day? I hope so.
About dinner time Annalee, I think Mary, and I are going to be going to Hannah Harris' house for pizza and swimming. Who wants to bet that I won't stay in the water for more than ten minutes? Well, we usually end up playing pretend games more than swimming, so I guess I won't have to worry THAT much about it. I wonder how Mary got her name? Not the Mary part, I know about that, but what about the "I think" part? I wonder. So many things to ponder, I think I'll just let it be for now, I don't want my brain to explode or anything. Maybe this would be a good time to post Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes.
